Title: Senior Project Engineer
Location: Georgetown, ON, CANADA
The engineering department is responsible for the structural design, detailing and analysis, as well as inspection and condition assessment of communication structures and towers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, and coordination of the various projects’ deliverables
- Structural analysis, and technical review of drawings, specifications, reports, estimates and schedules
- Coordination and reporting of multiple design and construction projects throughout the execution stages
- Communicate and coordinate with clients, suppliers, and contractors
- Report project progress to management
- Mentor and train junior engineers, inspectors, and detailers
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- Extensive engineering knowledge in steel design, tower design and foundations
- Excellent knowledge of resistance material theory, steel, and concrete design
- Good knowledge of TSTower is an asset
- Extensive knowledge of CISC handbook, AISC, CSA-S37 and TIA-222 codes, and engineering practices are mandatory for this role
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or higher
- Licensed professional engineering designation in Quebec is required
- G License is required

Title: Junior Tower Inspector (Climbing / Field-Based)
Location: Georgetown, ON, CANADA
About the Role
Turris is seeking a Junior Tower Inspector to join our inspections team. This is a field-based role for individuals who want to work at heights, travel regularly, and build technical expertise in the telecom and structural engineering industry.
You will be working on active telecom sites across Canada, climbing towers, performing inspections, and collecting critical field data that directly supports engineering decisions. This is not a desk-based position. It is a hands-on role with significant travel, physical work, and real responsibility in the field.
You will be paired with experienced Senior Inspectors and receive structured training in inspection procedures, data collection, and specialized measurement techniques.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
You will be involved in a range of field inspection and measurement activities, including:
- Perform climb and drone-based inspections of telecom towers and rooftop sites
- Complete detailed antenna and equipment inventories, including elevations, azimuths, and configurations
- Assist with acceptance, post-installation, and maintenance inspections to verify compliance with construction drawings and industry standards
- Identify and document deficiencies, and prepare clear field notes and redlines for engineering review
- Participate in damping measurements on monopoles and tripoles using specialized equipment such as Recovib sensors
- Assist in tuning and adjustment of damping systems under guidance from senior staff
- Support preparation of inspection reports and documentation
- Contribute to basic drafting tasks (AutoCAD) during non-field periods, where applicable
Work Structure:
- Field-based role with travel across Canada, primarily within Ontario
- Travel is a significant component of the role (50% or more)
- You will be paired with a Senior Inspector for all field work
Training and Development
Turris provides structured, hands-on training. You will be supported in developing:
- Tower climbing and safety certifications (Working at Heights, rescue training, etc.)
- Inspection procedures and documentation standards
- Use of specialized measurement equipment
- Drone-based inspection techniques
- Basic drafting and technical support skills
This role provides a clear pathway to becoming a highly skilled tower inspector with exposure to advanced inspection and measurement work.
Requirements
- Comfortable working at heights and performing physical field work
- Willingness to travel regularly (50%+ of the time, including across Canada)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical procedures
- Good communication and documentation skills
Preferred (Not Required)
- Previous tower climbing or working-at-heights experience
- Experience in telecom, construction, or field services
- Basic AutoCAD or drafting experience
- Experience with drone operation
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly pay (typically $24 – $30 per hour, depending on experience)
- Overtime pay during travel and project work (strong earning potential during active field rotations)
- $200 per day per diem for out-of-town travel

Field rotations with overtime and per diem can significantly increase total weekly earnings.
